'Hitting the Links for Literacy' golf tournament to be held April 12 | Events

The Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana, Inc. will hold a Hitting the Links for Literacy Golf Tournament on Friday, April 12 at The National Golf Club of LA in Westlake. Complimentary lunch and beverage service begins at 11:30 a.m. and the 4-Man Scramble Shotgun Start begins at 1 p.m.
Registration for a 4-Man team is $400. Registration includes a Tiger Shark golf shirt. Extra shirts may be purchased for $25. Sponsorship opportunities are also available. Gold Sponsors may promote businesses with a tent on the course and the opportunity to visit with players while providing refreshments and promotional materials of the business. A Gold Sponsorship is $250. A Silver Sponsorship is available for $100 to promote your business with a sign on the tee-box.
Proceeds benefit the Literacy Council of Southwest Louisiana, Inc., which provides programs for adults, children and families. Programs for adults include adult basic education, GED preparation, computer literacy, English as a second language, and workplace skills development. Programs for children include tutoring at partner sites, tutoring for middle and high school students at the Central School, and summer programs. Family programs include partnerships to support Early Literacy Foundations, Prime Time Family Reading Time®, Reach Out & Read and Reading is Fundamental.
